Hi,

I get houdini freeze very often. I dont know is it houdini or is it something I do wrong.

Just every now and then my cursor changes to panning hand (u know this cursor when u pan the view) and I cant do anything.

So I make fast CTRL+S and kill houdini from task manager (cant even close houdini window). Sometimes even CTRL+S does nothing.

And when I reopen the saved scene I always get loading warnings:

“warning: problem while synchronizing child node
”warning: skipping unrecognized parameter “pivot”
“warning…. and so on and so on….”

This is very annoying because it happens couple of times every hour. And happens almost always when I leave houdini open and do something for a while (eg write this massage) and come back and have houdini frozen

I dont know is it something that I do wrong, are my scene files corrupted after this save?

Check the file size of your .hip, is it larger than you expect? Maybe the .hip is corrupt you might need to rebuild (ie. opscript out your scene into a file and re-run it in a brand new session with the latest production build)

Hi,

sorry for so late answer.

Unfortunately this issue happens on my all files, even empty scenes…

Which version of Houdini are you using? Try using the latest production build (13.0.401).
