Is it somehow possible to disable the grid in the volume slicer ?
Often the grid get so dense that the voxels become invisible, if the resolution of the volume gets higher..

Shift-W toggles wire-frame over shaded. I suspect the grid you are complaining about is the wire-over shaded wires. On the top right of the viewport is a shaded box with a drop down arrows that selects the shaded mode. You can also use that to switch between smooth-shaded and smooth-shaded-wire.

That was it .. I didnt realize that this was a general viewport setting.
I thought it was a fancy ‘feature’ of the slicer.
