you can visit #cgtalk ot #rumat on Undernet server (be careful in #rumat though, coz rumat is a place for fun) - some guys among opps are inolved in serious production work in a number of major studios. But I am sure they will tell you the same - the are no stidios in Russia, using Houdini as their in-house software. There is a strong belief that Houdini is a freaky software, designed by marisans for marsians and marsian rocket scientists only.

Actually I am from Russia, so

CinemaTeka is one of the lead studio here, I think. In general they work Maya/RenderMan (some times MAX).

Guys from First Channel are also prety good.

I need to find a studio for the outsourcing (vizual content for the computer game). I was told that there are plenty of CG-studios of such kind in Russia, they offer good prices and good quality as well.
