I am a Learner of Houdini.
Does anyone know how I can bake (or unwrap) the colour that I painted on the Geometry with brush sop?

I tried to make a screen capture of the UV viewport to get the unwrapped texture but only the wireframe can be screen captured.

thank you for your attention!

RMB on the node and do Save texture UV to image.
Or you can render with mantra -u path to node

Simon, thank you for your reply!
but, “save texture UV to image” only unwrap the UV. I still can not see the colour(FG) that I painted with the “paint” sop.

also, the mantra -u only unwrap and bake the texture. but it does not unwrap the paint that I made with the “paint”sop.

I think the paint that I made with the “paint” sop is a kind of Hardware texture on the vertices. HOw can I bake the hardware vertices colour made by the “paint” sop's brush?

Make a vex shader with one parameter Cd and connect that to the Cf output. Apply that to your geometry and then use the mantra -u option.

Hey brucelay, feel free to add this tip to the Wiki
I think it'll help other people trying to do this for the first time.
