From Houdini to RenderMan for Maya

probably, if you have already particles in maya you should be able to render them with renderman, or recache as native maya particle caches to get rid of hengine dependency
I would as well suggest alembic, but Maya itself used to have problem reading .abc particles, not sure how is it in 2016
however, if renderman delayed load procedural can read .abc directly, then you can try exporting alembic from houdini and render that way
