Has anyone had experience getting particle simulations into Renderman for maya for shading? Been trying to shade some water scenes I've been doing but having trouble with the pipeline.

Hengine works fine for particles

Houdini engine for maya? Do you know if it works with Renderman for maya as well?

probably, if you have already particles in maya you should be able to render them with renderman, or recache as native maya particle caches to get rid of hengine dependency
I would as well suggest alembic, but Maya itself used to have problem reading .abc particles, not sure how is it in 2016

however, if renderman delayed load procedural can read .abc directly, then you can try exporting alembic from houdini and render that way
