Incorporation of higher math in artificial life sims

I hope this is the right forum for this, sorry if it's not.

I wanted to ask if there are any resources where I can learn to incorporate
mathematics in Houdini for Simulations involving science, biology,
astrophysics, geometry and the physics of destruction. I was wondering
if you could provide some links to resources where I can learn this?

Here is an example of what I mean from a Siggraph paper on the
Simulation of artificial life in computer graphics - the motion dynamics
of a worms and snakes for example. The animation of the earthworm is
truly astonishing. I would have no idea how to use the data in Houdini -
yet to make it work.
