How to avoid trail sop connecting all particles like zigzag?

I would like to connect particles in straight line only but its actually connecting all over the points….so instead of straight lines, it came out to be zigzag lines. Anyway to fix it?

I attached a scene file for your reference….frame 1 to 11 is fine and then it goes crazy at frame 12 and back to straight lines for a while and again….

Anyway to fix it?

Here's one possible fix:

-trail just the points
-add sop to create primitives, matching by id
-set width with a wrangle (or attrib create, whatever you prefer)
