Can anyone out there confirm that they have been able to download and extract the latest production build for Ubuntu. I have downloaded it at least five times now and am unable to extract it - it gives me this error:

gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

I have downloaded it over wifi, then I tried it over ethernet, then through a vpn (I'm in Turkey - you never know…), everything. Same result everytime…

Could someone who has successfully downloaded it please paste an md5sum here so I can check my sanity.

Many thanks,

Dan.

The MD5-sums can be seen by clicking on the -Link next to the build name.

Don't give up!

OK, successfully extracted on the seventh attempt.

My guess is that until now I was walking away from the download (baby now asleep… ) and somehow the screen lock was breaking the download, causing Chrome to abort but think it succeeded, creating a file of the same size in the process.

It would be great if you guys could post some flavour of hash code alongside downloads. A link that would facilitate the use of download accelerators would also be nice, although I appreciate that would probably mess with your user statistics gathering.

Sorry for the noise.

Ah, OK, I see, it's there when you go through ‘Daily Builds’

Thanks.
