From water drops to a continuous stream

Hi there,

So i have a fairly simple effect to do, where water droplets continuously spawn on a circle, move along the circle, and eventually turn to a water stream endlessly flowing around.

Issue is, I have no idea how to blend seamlessly from the particle flow I created via POP to the FLIP sim. Or, well, get a surface mesh that would consist of multiple round droplets which would realistically merge together to make a stream.

I tried a lot of things that I never found quite satisfying. I'm not even sure how to handle it to be honest. Go full POP all along ( not as detailled as a FLIP sim ), go full FLIP all along ( I don't know how to force the droplets to maintain their form until I decide they should break appart or they really start to agglomerate to much or collide with each others ), use particles as sources in the FLIP, use volume as source in the FLIP…

I guess I need a nudge in the right direction. I feel like there are a lot of possibilities and I haven't been giving enough love to the “right” one as I was unsure of what I've been doing so far.

Anyone would have an idea ? Pretty please ? :p
