now i have changed number of polygons and it doesn't work. what to do? how to make nurbs surface with more divisions. i need to use mountain node and it has to be smooth.
Not sure what you're doing wrong, works fine for me. If you can add divisions prior to the convert sop, then leave it at the default of 4 and 4 for the u-order and v-order.
Having problems attaching files to to the forum, here's an example hip on my google drive:
Honestly if you just want a smooth surface, I'd stick with polygons and render as subdivision. You have much more control over your surface and dealing with nurbs can be a pain sometimes. If you want a smooth viewport preview, just turn on viewport subdivisions on the object level.
Hi Mestela I'm trying to convert a poly shape to a NURBS surface or curve. So that i'm able to project that poly shape onto another object. So i can trim it. The goal is make it look like the shape has been carved out of the other object. Other solutions than projecting the NURBS surface are welcome too!
