I assumed this had something to do with the gama settings but up till now I've yet to figure this out. I did some forum searching but I can't find an answer. I thought maybe it might be an arnold thing but I wanted to post here first to see if there is a quick fix. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
The main issue is i have to crank the intensity of the lights to get a descent view in the render. I'm also following a tutorial that does this as well. What I am looking for is similar lighting intensity in both the view port and the render.
Viewport washed out from bright lighting.

I can't really tell what the issue is without a hip file showing the lighting setup. Note that the viewport lighting is just an approximation, and doesn't support more complicated lighting such as area lights.
Sry didn't know if it would be useful with Arnold being the render engine. Hip file attached.

A lazier quick fix is to use the viewport colour correction tools to ballpark match your renderer.
