Most likely its a false positive. Does AVG tell you why it thinks the installer contains a virus?

Yeah, this is a false positive. Just do a google search for “nullsoft false positive”

See, for example, http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=189414 [forums.winamp.com]

This shouldn't affect any 8.1 builds after 8.1.606. Is 8.1.619 or 8.1.613 detected as being infected for you?

Strange, is it the same virus that it reports? Downloader.Zlob.ANW?

Edit: and when were your virus definitions last updated? I just scanned 8.1.604 and 8.1.619 with AVG 7.1 Professional's virus database 268.8.2/357 released today (June 6), and it didn't find anything.
