Is it possible to have different labels for a same HDA ?
I made an HDA, and it will be very convenient to be able to find it with several names (like aliases.
Is there a way to do that ?

Yes, under the tools section of your HDA, duplicate the default tool, and change the name to be the alias you want.

thank you! i never would have figured that out. who would think you'd have to right click on your node and go to TYPE PROPERTIES-->INTERACTIVE TAB-->SHELF TOOLS TAB-->CREATE NEW-->DEFAULT TOOL and then change the name/label for the 'new tool' to your second name you want your node. that's so random. thanks so much as this was killing me. i sometimes don't pick the best name for a node and i can't easily change it's name for half a dozen reasons, but giving it a second name fixes all of that and is priceless.
