Is there a way to time reverse the acceleration of velocity of a sim?

Say you have a tall box falling over. As it's falling its velocity increases. When that animation is played in reverse, it's easy to tell because the velocity starts fast and gets slower.

I want to have the animation played in reverse but with the velocity starting slow then getting faster.

I have a sim of some letter forms starting in there legible state, then tumbling around. I want to then play it in reverse without it looking reversed.

I'm probably overthinking this but I thought I'd put it out there.

Attached is a quick file I put together.
Any help is appreciated.

Without overcomplicating the solution, perhaps you could get the exact effect you want by simply re-timing post sim; that way you can define specifically how much of an ease in or out you want in the animation. Reversing the acceleration of the velocity sounds overkill for what you are trying to achieve. Also, you can isolate each letter and add a separate timeshift to each, to get more specific control, but obviously this isn't a procedural solution.
