Ive seen a few posts about this on Odforce, but for various builds of Houdini.

Can anyone confirm or deny if the guide partition is working at all.

Ive been trying to use it at work all week, but it looks like the only way to truly partition hair would be to separate a groom into two halves.

If someone has a way using the guide partition, the simplest of hip files would be very much appreciated.

If you're referring to “part guides” shelf-tool or “guidepartition” groom node, I can confirm that it doesn't work.
I didn't manage file a bug report, so feel free to do so.

I can confirm that it doesn't work.

Ive discovered i was doing it wrong. It just needed a skinprim attribute and rest before using a hair gen.

But the real problem is that guide partition doesn't obey clumping.

Yeh I found that it wasn't working properly.
