Hi folks,

In the attached .hipnc i have a simple cube with a point light close to it.

My question is: how do you hide the visualization of the light source?

What i mean is, the point light is visualized as a wireframe sphere with some lines sticking outwards from the edges.

When i'm positioning the light, this is useful, but once i have it in place, i don't want to see this graphic all the time.

But i can't (and this applies to all lights) find any way to hide these light source visualizations from my scene view.

Any ideas? …….. thanks! ……….. D

Turn off light visiblity in the visibility dropdown (sunglasses icon). Alternatively, toggle the display flag on just the light you want to hide.

In Solaris, there is a toggle on the sidebar to hide all light guides.

Thanks again dude, i hadn't actually tried the display toggle as i presumed that would actually turn the light on or off.

Silly me…………

Came here searching for the answer. I am specifically searching for the light affecting the viewport. I know that toggling the blue display flag just hides the light but not their visualization on the scene. Turning off the light specifically in the parameter switches it off.

I found this headlight only button in the right side of the viewport that does the job.

Where exactly is the visibility dropdown and the sunglasses icon? I couldn't find it.
