Hello,

I am following the following documentation on the Draw Curve tool:

The documentation states:
1) Click the Draw Curve tool on the Create tab.
2) Hold LMB and drag to draw a curve freehand on the construction plane.

When I click the curve tool, Houdini creates a blue grid which I assume is meant to be the construction plane. However, LMB+drag seemingly does nothing. No curve is drawn. Attempting to draw curves on an object similarly fails.

NOTE: Moving the mouse wheel causes the Radius parameter at the top of the screen to change. Additionally, my View State says ‘StrokeDemo’. I am not sure why this is, since I am working in a brand new document, unless this is Houdini's name for the Draw Curve tool.

I have already reinstalled Houdini but this did not solve the issue.

Fixed by going to the following directory:
Documents\houdini18.0\otls

And deleting the following file:
strokeDemo.hdanc

This file was apparently providing a custom View State for the Draw Curve tool.
