New studio: Sandfall Interactive looking for Houdini Artist

Hey Houdini folks,

Sandfall Interactive is a new studio based in France, created by ex-Ubisoft devs, in the sunny city of Montpellier. We are a fun and ambitious bunch, focusing on premium games for PC and next gen consoles as these are the games we love the most, and we are looking for talented collaborators to start this journey with us.

The first game we are working on is Project W, an ambitious 3D third-person turn-based jRPG-inspired game with a realistic western art style. The game is planned to release on Unreal Engine 5. More info and some teaser visuals: https://www.sandfall.co/ [www.sandfall.co]

Project W just got funded so we are hiring for full-time positions either remote or on site, and we are looking for a Houdini expert ! We have the ambition to make a game with a great production value with a relatively small team (around 15 people full time + outsourcing and freelance).

We want Houdini to be at the crossroads of our production pipelines and this is why a talented technical artist is a key position for us. You will have a lot of freedom to experiment and design assets on various topics:
- generating 3D meshes & textures from simulations
- baking simulations to be rendered in real-time in UE (eg: water splash vertex animations)
- directed procedural generation for level design, working with Houdini Engine plugin for UE4
- and any other cool way of using Houdini you have up your sleeve!
