Hi guys,

I just started playing with Karma XPU and MaterialX, and I wonder if I could load a .mtlx file from disk into Houdini?

You can, and it's a simple as:

FileLOP, and sublayer it in

(There's a bunch of .mtlx example materials to load and try out in $HFS/houdini/materialx/resources/Materials/Examples )

*Edit: I'm getting old, I forgot to attach the example hip, it's done now

Ahh that makes sense! Thank you Martin for such a detailed & helpful answer!

Has anyone tried to edit the .mtlx file by hand to load another image? I can only get Karma to display correctly when the .mtlx is referencing images that came bundled with the samples.
