Hi!

So, i'm trying out RBD stuff and i want to export my RBD sim to Unreal but i can't seem to get it out of Houdini properly.
The way i'm trying to go about this is to use the SideFX labs "RBD to FBX" and tried following this tutorial here https://www.sidefx.com/tutorials/game-tools-rbd-to-fbx/ [www.sidefx.com]

When i hit "render" on the tool it does some processing and spits out an FBX file, however, the file is only 37kb or something similar and in Unreal I can't even hit the import button. It does import into Blender but it only imports an empty with a ton of keyframes.

I've also tried to just export "filmbox FBX" from the export menu but i was unable to get the animations to come along. I just get the model in it's fractured state.

So all in all: what am doing wrong and what do I need to do to get a functioning FBX out of Houdini.

I'm using Houdini version 19.0.383

If anyone could help me out or point me to a resource that i've overlooked it would be greatly appreciated

Just in case anyone stumbles on this thread, I’ve done a bit of trial and error and for me, it was because I was using “unpack” after “rbdbulletsolver”. So after I removed unpack from the tree and rendered it out using rbd_to_fxb it worked.
