Hi!
I currently have the rubbertoy in a geo node at the center of the world. In another geo node, I have a huge sphere (3000 unit wide). Currently, when I focus on one specific part of the rubbertoy (Space + Z), and I try to arc rotate around it with my mouse over the rubbertoy, it rotates fine. But, if I happen to have my mouse over the huge sphere, my viewport rotates around a point on the sphere about 1500 units away from camera so I lose my rubbertoy.
In 3Dsmax, when you focus on your model (Space + Z in Houdini), not matter where your mouse is, no matter how your camera is positionned, it will always rotate around that focus until you set another focus. Is that possible? I tried so many combinations in the preferences...

It's right in the prefs for 3d viewports under View State Operation Defaults: "Keep Pivot on Tumble" which changes the default for new viewports.
It can also be changed immediately by changing the dropdowns at the top of the viewer pane whil in the view state.
To clarify, by default, it's not exactly Z to focus the model. Z sets the pivot under the cursor and centers it, shift-Z to set pivot only. F to frame selected, shift-F frames the Construction plane, A to frame all. G or Shift-H to home the selection, H to home the c-plane, and shift-A to home all.
