Hi!

I created a high res Rock, saved the .ass and forgot to create a low res of it. I also forgot to save so I cant get the source .hip of it. Is there a way to "extract" geo info from it? If I can set the display to "points" and see the shape of the rock in the viewport, wouldn't it be possible to get those points... somehow?!

Alright, found it!

If you create an Arnold Procedural with your .ass geometry path in it, you simply dive inside that node and inside the arnold_procedural_viewport1 hda. Inside, you can access the points. I used a convex hull and it works! I'll be able to create my low res from those points.
