heightfield_erode visualize feature not showing up color..

It used to work, but i have no idea what i pressed, and now the heightfield color wont show up.

advise please? thanks a lot

Try clicking Compute Range?
Using Houdini Indie 20.5

yes i did, it did nothing.

a friend of mine couldnt replicate this problem on his computer. so there must be a problem on my side, i must have pressed something on my keyboard that disable it, but i have no idea what it is.

i have reinstalled houdini / clean install and it still wont work!

help please!

Try a convertheightfield. That might get you colors. At least you could inspect the value of @Cd to verify if there are varrying color to eliminate the possibility of a viewport bug?

You have materials disabled on the right toolbar. Turn it back on and you'll see the colors.

Enivob : thank you a lot for your effort to help me, really appreciate it.

Malexander : thank you, that did it. I just need to press "display materials on object" button. I never pressed it and as a new houdini user, i had no idea such button existed in the first place.

There must be a keyboard shortcut for that? I must have pressed it accidentally.
