Hi everyone! I'm trying to recreate a scene in this video here [vimeo.com] (0:35 to 0:41)
So my setup right now has lines being scattered on a sphere with the Normal being animated by a curl noise. Then I run this through a vellum hair to add a bit of realism. After that I Path Deform the pedal onto the lines. But the problem is that there are intersections between the pedals. I also tried a setup where I scatter the pedals directly onto the sphere and then use a vellum cloth, but this doesn't work really well because I have intersections right after scattering the pedals directly. So my question is, is there a way to have meshes not overlapping for vellum? If you have a better idea to recreate this scene, I'm open to it as well. Thank you so much!
How to remove object intersection to use for Vellum?

You could run a pre-sim to deintersect, then freeze it after a few frames before submitting it to vellum. Check out Matt's file/setup here:
