How to create a brush/spray-like "stroke" along a path.

In Illustrator you can put brush strokes along a path. I am wondering if it is possible to do something similar in Houdini.

Start with a straight line, then you can use a point replicate to add more random points along a specific axis. Deform that result along the target curve.
