Clone control panel instability

I am trying to use the clone control panel as a workflow to have a proper renderview which works great when it works.
For some of my files if I try to "connect" and create a clone session it simply fails to do so and gives me error messages like:

Socket Error: "Fri, 19 Jul 2024 18:26:26 GMT": MESSAGE SEND ERROR(clone1) ws://127.0.0.1:35975/clone Msg='""' Error='"Operation canceled"'

And for other files it works normally, I did once copy the nodes from a hip file that was not working to a fresh new one and it started to until I start to copy other nodes mostly from outside Solaris and then is started to fail again.

Is there something I am missing or that I need to be aware for it to work properly? Any tips?

H20.5 build 300
Fedora 40 X11 kernel 6.9.9-200
NVIDIA 4070 TI super 16 GB RAM
DRIVER Version: 555.58.02

Hey there,

I'm also running into issues.

I'm not able to connect to a local clone at all.
I always get a Socket Error:
Error='"The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request"'

For testing purposes I've disabled any firewall or apps that could block ports.

I've found something online where this kind of general error is associated with AMD CPUs?
Can anyone confirm this works on their AMD machine?
(Maybe even with the same CPU as mine, which is a Ryzen 9 5950X)

I've tried it with Houdini Version 20.5.445 and also the latest 522 running on Windows 10.
I've also tried switching the globally installed system python to 3.11.4 (which should match with the used houdini python?), just in case.

No luck so far.

Update:
For anyone interested ... my problem was a stupid human error ... when a lopnet is correctly set up (containing all necessary components like camera and rendersettings) and I then link the local clone to the render settings node, it is connecting and working. So far my learning.
