A 3D printer. Attached to a satellite. Extruding rigid structures over 50 meters long directly in orbit.
Solar panels, antennas, radiators — deployed at scale, without size constraints.
Orbital Matter is building the infrastructure for in-space manufacturing. I had the chance to produce their concept animation — showing at real scale what no camera can film yet. It's real and will be soon in orbit.
