Storm in Teacup
Fun little project created for CGSpectrum Houdini FX Diploma as a Potential tutorial piece.
I may teach how to do this in the future as part of the CG Spectrum Advanced FX Diploma.
Simulation done in Houdini 18. Rendered with Redshift.
Flip for the Water simulation. RBD for the boat and interaction with water.
Vellum for the sails, done as a post sim.
No whitewater sim, all the whitewater is coming from the vorticity attribute computed during the flip solve, which is then used to create variations within the shader.
