An art piece made entirely using Houdini. Thank you for adding vellum, it made making the cloth and grass really easy.

He was also passionate about teaching so he started his own “Institute for Advanced Animation.” He primarily concentrated on teaching software skills while working on design visualization, motion graphics, industrial animations and also some medical renderings. He then stumbled upon Houdini and the rest is history as his many Houdini tutorials have helped artists from around the world get into the world of proceduralism.

    Amazing piece!
How are you able to make grass stand firm with vellum. My setups get the blades/hair strands falling.

      Three things
      1. Keep the number of points per strand fairly low. For this each grass strand had only about 5 points. The more the number of points the more the curve tends to droop.
      2. Increase the bend stiffness, that helps.
      3. If everything fails, just turn off gravity in the vellum solver. It’s grass it’s not supposed to fall down anyways. :)
