sdr-video is a tone map that darkens the image; it can't be used with the expectation of color matching
I thought it was basically pushing it back to srgb as view-transform,
after I tell resolve that the footage is AcesCG and output transform is srgb I get one to one(as the Solaris and RS viewport)
So I'm left with the conclusion that SDR-video is srgb, but what I'm missing is why I am not getting one-to-one as the image.
On the other hand, why wouldn't they just name it srgb or rec709, I don't know. I'm probably missing something.
EDIT: ill try to do a revers transform in the mat

I'm getting a darker render than the jpg that I'm trying to match, weirdly enough, when I switch to "untoned mapped."
I have a better representation than what the "sdr-video" gives me; I'm using the Houdini h20 config.

Hi there,
I have animated my character.
I want to pull the animated joints out to Kinefx.
I've looked at the "kinefx apex workflow" but couldn't find a way to get the animated pose out.
sure, you could get a controller out, but it's not animated.
Does anyone have a clue how to do that?

Thanks, I thought the curve default is the bezier since it gives you both straight, bezier, and features like corner rounding that you cannot find on a polygon, and once you start sketching, you cannot change it, it kind of bums me out (I've sketch quite a lot o well

Hey there, I have a weird crack in h20 driving me crazy.
Whenever I lay down a curve sop, my defaults are polygon and not bezier; the dropdown menu is highlighted, meaning it's not the default.
I've tried to factory default it, and the specific sop goes back to bezier default, but it keeps coming back, and since you can't change the drawn curve to bezier after it's drawn, it drives me up the wall.

hey, this is half a question and half a feature request.
there are a few things I miss about working in an obj context
show hide other objects- I don't see how I can work without this feature missing in Solaris.
how can I animate without seeing the other objects in the scene?
name change down the chain - if I change some sop name it will change/propagate
not sure how people work without those features?

hello
I'm trying to get a pixel value from the inspection mode
but all I'm getting are weird values well at least for me they are
I couldn't find documentation on what are the pixel values the inspector shows

if someone could explain to me the values and what they represent I would appreciate it
I do get it that the last row is probably hue saturation and the last one is luminance
and the raw above that one is probably RGB
but as you can see from the picture the values are simply not correct

Hey all!
anybody knows why I would get an " unable to initialize NVRTC" issue
I know it has to do with the graphics card I'm also not able to render with redshift
I'm using Nvidia studio driver 517.40 I rolled it back to an older driver, but no dice.
at the start I used 19.5.303 but now using 19.5.368, not helping me.
also, it has nothing to do with to project that I'm working on.
not sure what's going on.
open for suggestions

well, my redshift maintenance has expired so it and (God knows why) it messes up the GPU, and karma cant uses it.

the aperture is what I understand is the horizontal sensor size /2... or something
if that's so how would I get the vertical?
for all-purpose, Alexa35 is 27.99 x 19.22 sensor size, the sensor aspect ratio of 16:11,
how do I match that?

hi all i feel that this is one of the most frustrating thing about Houdini in general the save system.
1. is it possible to have auto save enable by defult (im runnng a script now that dose it )
2.is it possible to make incremental auto save but to a limit that i choose, whtas happening now is if i choose in houdini to make numbered backups it will just save for eternity, i would like to have a number that it will just keep cycle

hello all
i need to have a custom name for the assets in UE4
i separate the HDA into separated assets via pack primitives
and i am using the "unreal_output_name" string to give the assets names
but i get so i need a custom name there and not "static component..."
if i bake the HDA i do get the custom name but i prefer not bake each time
any advise to solve this problem would be appreciated
