Done ! I had some problem with the uniform subdiv of my terrain object, so there is some holes in the fluid. When I was increasing subdiv of the terrain object, holes where appearing in the mesh itself…
It's not in slow motion, there is no cereals… I'll do better next time !

Houdini Indie and Apprentice » CTRL-Click Point Light Makes Me Look Through It?

Hey,
It doesn't become a “camera”, but you are just looking through the point light you created, it can be useful to place your light this way sometimes.
But if it works when pressing enter why do you want it to works with ctrl ? I know that it works with geometry but you don't place your geometry like you place a light. So it's better to have this for the light, it's quicker when you are where you want to put the light instead of putting the light at the origin, and then “look through light” and then go back to the place you want it to be.
Or you can manually set the light transform to 0.
EDIT : or, or : it hasn't always been like this, but I only started with Houdini 11.

No problem for the sound, it's always better but I really learned something here, with or without sound.

But yes, it's always better with sound
(excellent tip by the way)

Oh ok, I thought that the format .bgeo was like the obj. one.
I'll try that, thanks a lot Skybar !
I hope that the whitewater will be able to “find” the .bgeo… (because it's always my fear with things like upres or whitewater, does it needs to be genereted only with a dop newtork simulating the lowres or the fluid…).

Is it possible to emit whitewater from a bgeo fluid sequence ? Or it needs all the things like velocity ?

Hi everyone,
I have a little problem with the whitewater solver, I have a fluid simulation, very simple, with some rbd objects. My fluid simulation has been cached out. But when I want to solve the whitewater, I have a warning message on the solver itself (on the screenshot).
I found on this forum that it might be because of the preferences, so I uninstalled Houdini, deleted the preferences, etc. Everything was back to default. But I still have the same problem… And it works perfectly fine with a new scene and a little water sim. So, what is the problem ?
I tried also without the “file” node, just with the fluid sim, and I still have this message error.
Thanks a lot !

Hi everyone,
Now that I have more time to work my personnal projects, I started a new little one. It's about milk falling in slow motion
The problem is that I'm satisfy with the look of my simulation (I mean it's not to bad for the moment), but not with the look of my fluid. It's not smooth enough for milk, it's too much “grainy”, there is too much little bumps. I want a fluid more smooth, but not a glue-like effect, juste a “milky” effect
How can I achieve this look ?
Maybe later I will add some cereals or something falling with the milk (yeah I know it's not badass at all, but before making big simulation I prefer to know how to achieve a certain look in a small simulation).
Thanks a lot guys !
Lewul.

Why don't you space+g on the object you want to focus on ? Doing this you will adapt the scale of your view. Or I don't understand your question…

Okay I see. I'm always thinking that sea water = more foam because of salt. So for me there is always less foam in “normal” fluid…
Thanks !
Thanks !

Is there always foam when there is water ? I mean there is foam when there is a strong velocity, but does all waters generate foam ?

Done !
I know that I can make better, but I notice that the best way to learn a software is to make little projects like this one (and tutorials, of course). So I want to do some other tests
I could of add a wet map, splashes, foam, etc. But I didn't wanted to stay to much time on this.
And again thanks for you help !
