I dont know i think that worked wel becouse the frame is thin.
rendering a bunch of slomo splashes retiming them converting them to vdb and use use them in and AND modifier on the vdb of ur model i think whould more closly resemle the result.

Issue with usd rendering out only a single frame -> Cook Frames as Single Work Item in ROP uSD in tops.

Hello thx for the status update !
I just switched to RHEL8.
and evrything seems to work fine for now.
I wil install leftwm (my desktop env) and c if that breaks anything.
and report on the installed dependancies if does.
I will update to rhel9 or rocky9 when the Qt helper issue is resolved.

Hello because i was running into problems with my houdini session sync not starting (crash on run)
and my builtin browser not working on fedora 36. i decided to try again on a rockylinux 9 install seeing this is the asf recommended distro.
Low and behold the exact same issues happen.
sup told me my previous bug report was added to a previous ticket.
Has annyone got it working on rocky 9 alma 9 or rhel 9.

Hello,
When trying to start my project with the Houdini engine plugin in the appropriate folder. I get the following error.
When i try to start a session sync, I get the following error. (from unity)

PROBLEM
Houdini keeps crashing when rendering a particle sim.

I have tried getting a log to read to me why Houdini is crashing, but it doesn't look to me like I can use the info given by the log to determine why it is crashing.
I have tried rendering with CPU instead of GPU and this also crashes without the memory being full
This leaves me with no idea why Houdini is crashing

It's very weird that mantra needs to be added to the keywords in order for materials to show up in the material palette.
Is there not a way to add other Renderers Like materialX "" or arnold to the all Renderers dropdown menu ?

Hello since i lose my presets on my nodes every reinstall I`d also like a way to save them somewhere specifically like in my HSITE or something, did you ever manage to find a way to set this up ?

Hm, yes, oversight in the post here.
I later noticed it is because I use sudo to launch with nice as my user, which doesn't use the environment variables I set up.
I’ve tried changing the sudoers file to pass the OCIO environment variable, but it didn’t take, so now i just launch without nice and that works fine.

my .bashrc looks like this on fedora but i can`t seem to get it to work.

I can do a workaround with setting up an environment variable in the env file for each version of houdini this is however not desirable.

So I've been trying to do make a simple point offset for a brick wall.
I'm however running into an issue that both variables and attributes seem to reset to 0 every time the loop restarts.
I`m probably doing something wrong, if anyone wants to help me keep my hair, here is your chance.

i dissagrtee with the whole website thing.

I dont understand why rotating by 0 around the normal suddenly fixes orientation ?
Or is that not what is happening ?

Hello i was wondering if annyone mioght b able 2 help me find a way to set the Direction the windows are facing.
( Just for the slanted part is ok i can not allow windows on the borders. )

SO i tried to change the setup with adding a extra vertex to so it takes the edge that goes from the start of 1 edge to the end of another.
and adjuster the code to int pts = expandedgegroup(0, 'single_edge');
