Hello there! 3D & VFX have been my passion since I discovered a copy of Blender on a PC magazine’s disk about 10 years ago. During my apprenticeship as an audiovisual media designer, I gained extensive knowledge in crafting images in the real world which complements my skills in the digital world. I studied Animation & Game @h_da where I fell in love with an awesome little program called Houdini. I received my BA in early 2021 and now I’m working as a Houdini FX Artist/TD at Accenture Song (former Mackevision). I like creating procedural setups, solving 3d related problems as well as learning something new every day. less

Can you share your HIP file + the Alembic file? Also which render engine are you trying to use?

Have you tried splitting your setup into two simulations?
1. Simulate your pillows with the creases you want to retain (treat it like a high res version)
2. Then you can create a low res version and simulate the stuffed animal bumping into it without caring about creases
3. After that you can use a point deform to deform your high-res mesh containing all the nice creases with the low-res mesh reacting to the impact.
