Help with Fluid Source 2014年9月1日22:58
Hi,
Using Houdini 13.0.401
I have a basic setup of a circle SOP followed by a Fluid Source SOP with the Scalar Volume Method set to Stamp Points.
Circle:
-Primitive Type: Polygon
-Orientation: ZX Plane
-Radius: 6 6
-Divisions: 8
-Arc Type: Open Arc
Fluid Source:
-Container Setings: Initialize: Source FLIP
This will generate a fluid source in the shape of a ring… but what I want is the fluid source to be only at the location of the circle Points…
but when I change the Scalar Volumes Method to “Stamp Points” it adds an additional UNWANTED Source Point at the origin…
this unwanted Source Point disappears if I move the circle away from the origin, e.g. set the “Center” on the Circle SOP to …
is this a Bug?

How to select FLIP DOP object from inside Viewport 2014年1月17日5:50
Hi,
what is the easiest way to select a flip fluid object inside the 3D viewport to be used for Tools from toolshelf that require selecting Fluid Objects…
Everytime I try selecting the object (inside Dynamics Select Mode) it does not recognize my selection and the tool gives me the Error:
“No Fluid object selected”
It does seam to work when I switch to Wireframe mode, but doesn't work when in shaded mode…
Is that by design? does the Dynamics Select Mode ONLY work in Wireframe mode?

Whitewater&Mist from ParticleFluids Tools don't work in 2014年1月17日5:35
I did find one preference setting that did cause those tools to no longer work:
Houdini Preferences -> Objects and Geometry -> Preferences -> Default Context Creation:
Create at Object Level => WORKS
Create in Context => DOESN"T WORK
