Japan Electronics College, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo is a vocational college with 24 courses, and 3 of them are computer graphics related. The CG department, founded in 1979, was one of the oldest to teach computer graphics in Japan, and have had many graduate students to the industries. The course with Houdini is the Computer Graphics Research department, a 3 year course, where students learns basic programming and Maya in the first year, and the curriculum with Houdini starts in the second year. It starts with SOPs to learn the basics of Houdini and then in the third year, various techniques for visual art creation.
