Have you installed the proprietary drivers for your graphics card? The Mesa software renderer isn't stable enough to run Houdini (plus it's really, really slow).

I'm just afraid that the system may crash when you install proepritarnogo driver. I will refrain from installing Houdini.

Hi guys. All good day! I need help with houdini apprentice. The fact that after the launch of the program I am trying to create a cube for example, but then inside the window there are some colored noise, and after Houdini apprentice freezes hard. Then, the monitor turns off and lights up again, but this time it freezes over and the whole system. Help! I would be grateful for your help!
Operating System: Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon Rosa 64-bit.
