AnteMotion is a startup specialized in Simulation for the Automotive field: our cross-functional team is composed by Mechatronics Engineers, Computer Scientist and 3D Tech Artists, with expertise in multibody Vehicle Simulation, HIL/SIL systems and Professional Driving Simulators Systems and Video Game development. AnteMotion headquarter is in Rovereto, nearby the Italian Garda’s lake; its core business is the development of a high-end Simulation Distributed System for ADAS testing. Given the team background, AnteMotion offers also engineering services for the Automotive Industry in the fields of vehicle dynamics simulation, including HIL/SIL systems and VR applications for design centers and marketing departments. AnteMotion is developing a proprietary next gen 3D editor with procedural generation techniques for civilian driving environments (realtime simulator). The pipeline scrapes GIS providers in order to collect and compile files used for the traffic algorithms (OpenDrive format). The traffic files are furthermore combined with regression data of population density, segmentation of civilian areas (residential, industrial, etc.), and terrain altimetry for the generation of terrain meshes, street meshes, assets and props placement, terrain allotments, and buildings generation.

Job description
You will:
  • Leading the procedural 3D artist programming team (2-3 peoples) dedicated to development of the Houdini tools to support 3D Artist in their daily work
  • Within the activities, you will drive and push the development of the next gen 3D Editor for driving environment, highly customized with procedural content creation techniques based on Houdini, with direct API access to HD navigation maps and GIS data
  • Actively participate to the definition of the company’s development roadmap
  • Fully hands on in coding the 3D editor and the simulation environment

Required qualifications
  • Experienced Houdini developer with 3-5 years of experience on developing tools for real-time 3D environment modeling like race tracks, city environments, etc.
  • Experienced UE4 C++ and Blueprint programmer with at least 3-5 years in the industry
  • Working experience in real-time 3D environment it’s a must

Desired qualifications
  • Experienced C++ programmer with 3-5 years
  • Ideally hold a B.S. degree in Computer Science or similar specialization. Alternatively, you should demonstrate equivalent experience
  • Experience in the development of 3D render engines and/or 3D model editors
  • Previous experience working with a game engine is an advantage

  • Strong team leadership and communication
  • Proactive and positive personality
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for the automotive field
  • Good English level (written and spoken)
