My object does not float Sept. 24, 2026, 5:27 a.m.

Dear sirs/forum colleagues, I am a complete apprentice in the use of houdini, but not in 3D modelling where i have several years of experience (+20), since I work in and love boats and to be motivated during the hard process of learning Houdini, I though it would be a good idea to make an animation of a boat simply floating in a rough ocean surface, I must say i have spent almost a complete week trying to achieve simply that, an sphere floating in the ocean created, I first tried with my 3D boat model and it seemed to be attached to the ocean bottom, blaming the issue to my 3D boat model i tried to achieve the same with a simple 3 m diameter sphere to which I gave floating attributes by giving to it a mass of only 4500 kg, but much to my suprise the result was the same as when triying to use my 3D boat model: the waves crashed to the sphere surface but the sphere remained like attached to the bottom with a steel beam and did not float or move up and down following the sea surface like floating in it.

I created the ocean with houdini´s option ocean/wave tank and following the advise of Gemini AI I created a Rigid body object with the shelve option Rigid Bodies/ RBD objects so most of the nodes and internal nodes disposition was created by Houdini itself with very little intervention from my side, I have been trying to achieve that the sphere floats for several days with no success, maybe some of you can take a look at my nodes and shed some light about what have I done wrong or the reason behind the sphere not reacting to gravity or flotation forces.
