Hi,

I already posted a message in reply to another thread, but nobody responded.

Basically I installed Houdini after reading about he competition on the Channel 4 website.

The problem I have is with regards to the licence, whenever I try and load Houdini, I get an error message saying that the is a “Licence Error: could not connect to hserver for licence acquisition”.

I check licence administrator and I have set it up to be local when I a open the “change licence server”.


Can someone tell me whats I am doing wrong.
I am using AOL as my ISP, do I need to say that I am behind a proxy or anything like that??

like the person who started this chain, I get the server connection error.
I have been trying since Saturday 31st May but with no joy.

I understand the server is back up but i still have problems getting the licence, i get the following message:

“Licence Error: Unable to connect to hserver for licence acquisition”

any thoughts why this is?
do i have to do anything else?
