Is the Pivot Painter UE4 vertex position offset tool broken? Sept. 23, 2019, 10:12 a.m.

Or am I just plain using it wrong?

I feel like it's a little of both.

I've had issues getting my own attempt to bake pivots into my trees vertex colors but even when I try to get a working example from the demo scene ( https://github.com/sideeffects/GameDevelopmentToolset/blob/Development/hip/pivot_painter_demoscene.hip [github.com] ).

I can only get movement from a pivot at the base of the model:



The rotating material is intentionally there so we can see where the pivot/pivots end up.

Every box should be rotating about it's own axis though.

Every one should have a slightly different vertex color but they are the same shade of blue, this model is exported from the “interactive grass” network:



Any thoughts?

Disabling the viewport context menu? Dec. 1, 2018, 8:34 p.m.

I get a lot of un-wanted openings of this menu when I model in Houdini. Right-clicking is how I zoom in (I assume, how everyone does it since I haven't found a way to customize my interface around the problem) and Iv'e tried to get better at not releasing the right-click to fast but I still get pop-ups without releasing right-click or right after a zoom.

Iv'e been looking for ways to de-activate it but so far I have only found this thread:

Is there a way to turn off context menus? Can I re bind zoom to be a combination of Left and middle click?

Is "Keep position when parenting" bugged? April 17, 2018, 3:43 p.m.

This was keeping an IK/FK snap from working and I would not have figured everything was hinging on this setting.
