issue with Violet project June 8, 2026, 3:33 a.m.
Hi,I am new to rigging with Houdini. and I'm currently learning the Violet project.
Violet project [www.sidefx.com]
but when I reached the section "Violet 4.2 | The Rig Architecture," three stash nodes (already rigged clothing) suddenly appeared at the beginning of the video, completely disconnected from the previous content. The author provided no explanation on how to create them. As a result, it seems many people are unable to proceed further. This is a great tutorial, but I think it could be more thorough and precise to better assist learners. I searched online and found others mentioning this issue as well, but there has been no response.

How to learn Kine and Apex May 27, 2026, 7:23 p.m.

Hi, You should learn both. Kinefx nodes are used for setting up skeletons, deforming curves and modeling, and procedural animation.
Apex is used to set up complex rigs that are performant with easy to use controls, primarily for character animation.
You can start with Apex rigging tutorials, you will find that kinefx is used quite a bit in them anyway so no need to
focus on it separately.
Thank you!
