Hello~

Anybody konw about scatter issue?
Create one Box,click Shatter in Model tab and attach scatter sop and then….
I put “Name” attribute like a attached image and then Houdini crash!

How I can fix it ?

Report a bug, it shouldnt crash.
Name is a string and it doesnt make sense to scatter based on it.

I know it may be … it doesnt make sense.. (when I use connectivity sop , it's work fine. )

I just want to make some points to each chunks by name.

but I don't know why houdini is crash… when i do it. (put name in scatter)

Anybody test this ? it's no problem? please test for me and reply plz.

Sorry, but I dont get the “by name” thing.
The “alternate attribute” is a probability to create a point on a primitive.
You cant have something like “Martin” as a probability.

The connectivity SOP creates a integer attribute called class.

The reason Houdini crash is probobly because its a bug.
I tried and Houdini do crash, so I submitted a bug.
