Where can I find the old school blog March 31, 2017, 5:50 p.m.
Hi there,
I'd really like to review the tutorials form Jeffs Old school blog. But the old quicktime videos are gone. Any chance to get these anywhere? Does anyone have local copies?
Thanx a bunch in advance,
best Manuel

Unifying Houdini under one context June 3, 2015, 7:38 a.m.
This sounds fantastic. Would be really great to unify all contexts. And not only this but what about integrating a node based approach for expressions into the same network. World machine does this nicely. The data that flows through the network is pixel grids but at the same time you can use nodes to modify the parameters of the nodes that work on the pixels. These can have all the data types. Would be an alternative to Hscript.

Question about the inner workings of the FLIP Solver June 2, 2015, 10:46 a.m.
Hi all,
I am currently trying to understand the FLIP Solver. And while doing so I stumbled across some nodes that I don't understand. Can sombody tell me what the nodes I circled in the attached images do? They advect the velocity after the FLIP update that is done in the step before that and I don't really understand why they are there. Isn't the FLIP update of the divergence free velocities sufficient?
