This video will be taking a look at both the Granular Strand and Granular Sheet tools in the Grains Shelf set. We're going to first simulate a necklace falling down, using a torus, with the Granular Strand tool. Then we're going to turn a grid into a sheet of grain particles using the Granular Sheet tool, and drop it on a static rigid body object. Putting down a Duplicate SOP allows us to drop a few sheets of grain particles on each other. Changing the Friction Scale Kinetic, Weight, Stiffness, and Mass Shock Scaling gives different results to the grid/sheet of grain particles. Additionally, we enable OpenCL for reduced sim time (because the card used, W7100, supports OpenCL and accelerates the simming).
