This is a tutorial video showing how you can implement a system to send animated geometries created in Houdini to UE5 with multiple number of custom attributes by combining Alembic together with VAT (vertex animation texture) technique inspired by SideFX Lab's VAT node.

I'm explaining the process from scratch so that anyone can implement the same system if you have followed it.It seems to work just fine with Lumen for UE5 and has no problem with fluid type shape (topology changing geometry throughout frames).

The same system should work on any other game engine where it can import alembic geometry if you have a little bit of shader knowledge. You can also download the template file from the post's link.

Is there a problem with Houdini exporting UE5.0 using VAT now, fluid scintillation and fragmentation
