COPs SciFi Panel
Gamedev
Zipped file includes: HDAs, *.hip, and unreal project
A procedural sci-fi panel built in Houdini Copernicus, drawn as texture layers instead of real geometry. Python sketches the panel structure, Copernicus develops the height and details, and Houdini Engine carries the material into Unreal for tessellation and displacement.
Sub-COPhda → Main-COPhda → SOPhda Wrapper:
· Sub-COPhda (Python): Generates the procedural panel lines directly on the 2D buffer.
· Main-COPhda: Handles detailing, height layering, and coloring based on the lines.
· SOPhda Wrapper (Geometry & Houdini Engine): A simple sop-level wrapper applying the textures to a geometry so they can be sent to Unreal Engine via HE.
