Scene files created for the Solaris presentations at the Houdini 22 launch presentation and Hive talks.

Hip files:

  • LovelyDesertSet.hip
  • Contains the lighting setups for evening and night renders of the desert scene
  • Scatter Instances used to author procedural scattering, as well as PointInstancers
  • Paint Instances, the replacement for the Layout LOP, also used to dress the scene
  • Models setup using the new USD SOP Workflows in H22
  • Texture Material Library used for creating materials across many models in the scene
  • Canary.hip
  • Texture Material Library also demonstrated in here, with Paint 3D COP as well
  • Karma Ambient Occlusion and Curvature shaders
  • MtlX Flake shaders also demonstrated
  • Lightbulbs.hip
  • Edit state’s physics mode now works with PointInstancer instances
  • Mesh lights now instanceable
