Im painting some density/ length maps for use on a fur object, but as when I resave the map out of photoshop I cant get houdini to reload the new version of the map. I end up having to save the map to a different filename (not good!!)
Any hints?

It seems going to the render menu and choosing ‘Reload Textures’, then changing the map to another file then changing it back works. A bit of a clunky workaround though

Hi,
The way round this is to have the file read in as normal. To see the results you need to render the image so what you do is add a script to the pre render ie this Hscript

opparm -c /obj/mynode/some_othernode/myfiles reload

In this example I am telling the rop to run the reload parameter in node blah blah. This way at render time your file will read the updated one.

also you can try texcache -c in a hscript textport

texcache -c dosent work
and im not even rendering, just viewing in the viewport for now.

Running the opparm command:
opparm /obj/LogUpper_fur/lengthmap reload

in the texport results in this:

Can't find node /obj/LogUpper_fur/lengthmap

Sounds like a bug. Submit it.
