How to crack a wall open but not fracturing the whole thing?

I am learning how to use rigid body simulation to break a wall….but instead of fracturing the whole object, is there a way to break it like “pushing and then cracking” the wall object open?

So in the end, the wall would have pieces broken up but it's no longer straight….sort of looks like distorted inwards(or outwards) with a crack opened.

Or do you think it's outside of RBD? And what area should I look at?

Thanks for your help!

If you want stretching / bending and dynamic fracturing, then the FEM solver is the way to go
