I have a piece of geometry I want to re-orientate to the origin. It's come in skewed for some reason and I was wondering how you'd get around this in Houdini. If I'm not mistaken Maya has a tool for making polygon faces flush with one another that would help but I'm not sure there is such a thing for Houdini out of the box? :?:

Can you attach an example file?

I can't share the file unfortunately, but if it helps just imagine a box like in the image with the rotations off center. I have a flat plane on each side, that if I could make true it would be easy to re-align.

you can use the align SOP…
in the included file I have a box that is rotated slightly…
I put a grid in the scene and then object merged the grid into the box object
the align tool has some options to explore

it's not perfect but it should get the job done.
